EMPD officers confiscated 217 packets of illicit cigarettes, last Thursday.
The raids took place at two shops in Homestead, Primrose, by members of the EMPD Germiston Crime Prevention Unit.

The shops were swooped on following a tip-off and during the busts four men were arrested.
The first shop, Anneville General Dealer, which is situated at the corner of Edward Avenue and Rupil Street, was raided at midday and the metro police found 108 packets, comprising of the brands Westleighs, JFKs, Stixs, Sevilles, Megas and Malimbos.
Two Bangladeshi nationals in their mid-20s and a 28-year-old Mozambican man were arrested and charged with possession of illicit cigarettes, at the Primrose Police Station.
Homestead Supermarket was the second shop raided at 12.40pm and 109 packets of Sevilles, Pacific Blues, Megas and JFKs were confiscated.
One 34-year-old Bangladeshi businessman was arrested.
