Load shedding to take effect at 5pm

Eskom regrets to announce that Stage one load shedding‬ will be implemented from 5pm to 10pm today.

This is due to increased electricity demand and a shortage of generation capacity resulting from technical faults at some of our power station units.

The announcement comes after three consecutive days without load shedding.

“Please switch off your geysers, pool pumps, unnecessary lights and use energy efficient ways to keep warm.

“This will help to reduce demand,” said Eskom in a statement.
