A 53-year-old man from Likole Section in Katlehong was recently arrested on a charge of rape.
The man was arrested after his wife opened a case against him at the Katlehong SAPS.
“The victim said her husband locked her in a room and forced himself on her without her consent,” said Captain Mega Ndobe, the communications officer for the Katlehong SAPS.
Police officers travelled to the couple’s home immediately after the case was opened and arrested the man.
The accused will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
