Man allegedly assaults bottle store employee

Man hit in the head with beer bottle.

A local bottle store employee was allegedly attacked and hit on the head with a beer bottle.

A 28-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for the attack.

The victim alleged that he was assisting the man with his purchase, at the liquor store, when he begun to swear at him.

“The accused became angry, swore at the victim and then hit him on the head with a beer bottle,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The man was charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
