Learning to protect themselves
Women in Elsburg learn how to handle crime situations.
The Elsburg CPF held a self-defense and awareness class at their clubhouse recently.
Women from the community, Elsburg CPF female patrollers and children wanting to learn how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe were invited.
Child pornography, safety on the internet, rape, domestic violence, safety at ATMs and safety during hijackings and robberies took centre stage at the informative workshop.
Capt Hennie Bouwer, from the Elsburg SAPS and the workshop facilitator, demonstrated exactly how you can make yourself less vulnerable and defend yourself during a situation of violent crime.
