Det-Const Mmolo Boshielo, from the Primrose Police Station, recently secured the conviction of Desmond Kwinika (20), who was charged with murder.
The accused was sentenced in the Germiston Magistrates Court to ten years imprisonment, of which three years were suspended for a period of five years.
In addition, the accused was declared unfit to possess a firearm.
The Primrose SAPS acting station commander, Lieut-Col Frans Lepadima, thanked Boshielo and the team involved in the investigation for their hard work and dedication.
