The Katlehong cluster police stations recently arrested 40 suspects.
The cluster stations patrol Dawn Park, Vosloorus, Zonkizizwe, Eden Park, Tokoza, Katlehong North and Katlehong.
The suspects were arrested during a daily stop-and-search operation, which was conducted by crime prevention officers.
Twenty-five of the arrests were made in Katlehong.
Charges included: malicious damage to property, assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, murder, attempted murder, common assault and the possession of drugs, with special focus on dagga and nyaope.
All of the suspects are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.
