Task team secures conviction

Man will spend three years in prison for housebreaking.

Bongeni Mbengeni (33) will spend three years behind bars after he was found guilty of housebreaking and theft.

Mbengeni was arrested by the Primrose Housebreaking and Theft Task Team, under the leadership of Det-Const Thabang Nawa, for a 2014 Petunia Road housebreaking.

He was recently sentenced in the Germiston Magistrates Court to six years imprisonment, of which three years will be served as a suspended sentence.

Mbengeni was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
