Busy week for the Primrose police

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police arrested 35 suspects between November 16 to 22, in the Primrose area.

Charges included:

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 7
  •  Common assault: 6
  •  Possession of drugs: 5
  •  Possession of stolen property: 2
  •  Malicious damage to property: 1
  •  Dealing in liquor without a licence: 6
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol: 2
  •  Contempt of court: 2
  •  Possession of illicit cigarettes: 1
  •  Illegal immigrants: 3

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela, for deportation.
