Katlehong cluster arrests 94 suspects

The Katlehong cluster arrested 94 suspects from February 5 to 7.

The cluster, made up of the Katlehong South, Vosloorus, Thokoza, Eden Park, Katlehong North, Zonkizizwe and Dawn Park Police Station, arrested the suspects for various offences during a stop-and-search operation.

The operation was coordinated by the clusters’ crime prevention members together with members of the EMPD.

Roadblocks were conducted on different streets in the area.

Suspects arrested according to Katlehong cluster stations are as follows:

Forty-six of the 94 suspects were arrested in Katlehong on charges of warrant of arrest, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, housebreaking and theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of dagga, possession of drugs, intimidation, shoplifting and drinking liquor in public.

All of the accused are expected to appear in Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
