Officers from the Primrose Police Station recently arrested a 27-year-old man in the Makause informal settlement.
The man is accused of robbing two men, in an open veld, at gunpoint.
“The complainant alleged that he was in the open veld with a friend, both were relieving themselves from the call of nature, when they were approached by an unknown man,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man allegedly pointed a gun at the two men and ordered them to hand over their belongings, before disappearing.
The man was charged with armed robbery.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for a bail application.
