Murderer to spend 13 years in prison

Ditaba Matjikitja (39) is set to spend 13 years in prison after being convicted of murder.

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, has commended Det-Const Mpho Makhubela for her hard work, following the conviction of Ditaba Matjikitja (39).

Matjikitja was recently found guilty of murder in the Germiston Magistrates Court.

“The murder took place in the Delport informal settlement, in March of this year,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Makhubela was credited with preparing the docket.”

Matjikitja was sentenced to 13 years direct imprisonment and was declared unfit to possess a firearm.
