Woman assaulted at work

The Primrose police arrested a man after he allegedly beat his girlfriend while she was at work.

A woman was allegedly beaten by her 34-year-old boyfriend after he accused of cheating, recently.

“The victim told police that she was working at a tuckshop in the Makause informal settlement when her boyfriend came to borrow money,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The man left and returned a few moments later.

“When he returned he accused her of cheating and then allegedly began to hit her,” Maome said.

The victim sustained injuries all over her body.

The man was arrested and charged with domestic violence and will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court, soon.
