The Manufacturing Indaba Conference and Exhibition will focus on growth opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Small businesses have been identified as a key focus area for the two-day interactive Manufacturing Indaba Conference and Exhibition, held by the metro.

The event will host major manufacturing companies and industry leaders on June 28 and 29, at Emperors Palace.

As a precursor to the two-day event, the Small Business Indaba will be held on June 27, from 8am to 5pm.

The initial event will focus on growth opportunities for entrepreneurs who run small business operations within the manufacturing sector.

The Manufacturing Indaba will include a media briefing, where the Minister of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Rob Davies, and Ekurhuleni executive mayor Clr Mondli Gungubele will outline the prospects of the conference.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura, Davies, DTI Deputy Minister Mzwandile Masina and the professor of operations management and advanced and sustainable manufacturing, Prof Marco Taisch, will be among the keynote speakers.
