Man arrested on several charges in Primrose

Woman opens case against her boyfriend after he refused to give their child back to her.

After her boyfriend allegedly refused to give their child back to her, a woman travelled to the Primrose Police Station to open a case against him.

She directed officers to his home where she claimed he had the child.

“During a search of the 38-year-old suspect’s home, on June 20, for the child, police also found 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition and a white substance believed to be drugs.

“Jewellery was also found in the home and when officers asked for proof of purchase he was unable to produce it,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

The suspect was arrested and charged with the possession of drugs and suspected stolen property, as well as the illegal possession of live ammunition.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court where his case was postponed.
