Nineteen suspects were arrested by the Primrose police from June 27 to July 4.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were arrested on various charges, including possession of drugs, armed robbery, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, common robbery, rape, shoplifting, domestic violence, malicious damage to property, theft and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
