The metro informed residents that the South African weather forecasters have predicted strong and damaging winds would hit Gauteng from midnight of August 2 until the wee hours of August 3.

The social workers at Bertha Gxowa Hospital are searching for the family of Kevin Ray. He was recently admitted to the hospital and they need to get in touch with his family.

3. Alleged shootout at Edenvale centre leaves man dead: https://bit.ly/2aFDESp

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was killed after an apparent shootout at a retail centre in Edenvale on August 1. ER24 paramedics, along with another private service, arrived on the scene and found a light motor vehicle in the parking area surrounded by a heavy police presence. “Upon inspection, paramedics found the man lying next to his vehicle,” said Russel Meiring, spokesman for ER24.

Residents in a number of Germiston suburbs were warned of a planned power supply interruption. The power supply interruption was planned to take place on August 4, from 10pm until 4am on August 5. The Albemarle Substation was scheduled for an upgrade of the electrical equipment.
