Help the elderly by donating tinned food
Help an elderly person in the community enjoy a good meal.
The elderly form an important part of the community and the GCN supports International Day for Older Persons which falls on October 1.
To this end we are collecting cans of non-perishable food to donate to the Germiston Association for the Aged (Gafa).
The items will be handed over to Gafa on October 5 at a special concert for the elderly planned by the organisation.
The food will be distributed by Gafa to elderly citizens in their service centres who need it most.
All donations of tinned food would be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be dropped off at the GCN’s offices at 25 Main Road, Fishers’ Hill until October 4.
