Police arrest 54 in a week

The Germiston SAPS arrested 54 people for various offences.

The Germiston SAPS have been hard at work combating crime in their policing area.

During the week dated September 5 to 11 they made 54 arrests.

People were arrested for the following offences:

  • Possession of dagga: 1
  • Armed robbery: 4
  • Theft: 4
  • Common robbery: 3
  • Fraud: 1
  • Possession of suspected stolen goods: 5
  • Shoplifting: 4
  • Assault GBH: 9
  • Drunk and driving: 6
  • Possession of drugs: 3
  • Dealing in liquor without a licence: 3
  • Pointing of a firearm: 1
  • Possession of an unlicensed firearm: 2
  • Possession of housebreaking implements: 2
  • Possession of copper: 1
  • Intimidation: 1
  • Car hijacking: 1
  • Theft of a motor vehicle: 1
  • Warrant of arrest: 2
