Man shot at during Wadeville business robbery

ER24 paramedics treated a man after he was injured in a Wadeville business robbery.

A 62-year-old man is lucky to be alive, following an alleged robbery at a business in Wadeville, on Wednesday.

It is believed the man was closing the business when he was approached by the robbers, pushed back into the shop and forced to lie on the floor.

“He sustained injuries to three fingers on his right hand, after being shot at,” said Chitra Bodasing Harduth, spokesman for ER24.

“The bullet grazed his head.

“Paramedics treated the man and transported him to hospital for further medical care.”

The exact details surrounding the incident are unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
