After returning from work recently, a woman discovered her laptop was missing.
“She told officers she had placed the laptop next to her bed the night before but could not find it anywhere,” said Sgt Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose police.
She asked her domestic worker if she had perhaps moved the laptop. When she said no she began to suspect her 36-year-old sister had stolen it.
“The complainant claimed that her sister had stolen things from her in the past,” said Maome.
She formally opened a case against her sister at the Primrose Police Station.
Officers were able to trace the accused and she was arrested.
She has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
