A tip-off from members of the Delville community was acted upon by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit, on Thursday.
This resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old Zimbabwean woman, who was found in possession of drugs valued at R8 000.
A house, situated in Menin Road, was invaded by the metro police at about 11am where a woman was found with seven packets of crystal methamphetamine, 17 ziplock bags of ‘cat’ and one half-moon of ‘rock’,” said Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago, spokesman for the EMPD.
“She was arrested and charged with possession of and dealing in illicit substances at the Germiston Police Station.”
The woman was expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
