The Primrose police arrested 22 suspects in the area between February 13 and 19.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station.
The accused were arrested on several different charges, including dealing in liquor without a licence, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, possession of suspected stolen property, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, murder, business robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon, dealing in drugs and warrant of arrest.
The Primrose police’s station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, others will appear in court soon and some paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
