Germiston SAPS and EMPD members, accompanied by Community Safety members, addressed issues of domestic violence during a joint operation held last Saturday, in various areas in Germiston.
The operation was led by the Germiston SAPS station commander Brig Nkensani Lemba.
Community members at shopping malls and taxi ranks were also given pamphlets relating to domestic violence.
“The community was happy with the police visibility at the shopping malls and taxi ranks, and they felt safe with our presence,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.
