A 19-year-old woman was recently arrested by the Primrose police for shoplifting.
The arrest was made at one of the biggest stores in Rietfontein Road, in Primrose.
The shop’s security guard told police that she became suspicious when she noticed the woman looking tense while walking towards the door.
“It is alleged that the woman attempted to walk out the door of the store without paying at the tills,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The accused was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, where she was held pending her appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
