Police get back to basics

Police and local CPFs hold strategic planning meeting to discuss new ways to fight crime in Katlehong.

The Katlehong police and local CPFs, recently held a meeting to brainstorm new ways of curbing crime in the area.

The meeting allowed attendees to get back to basics in their fight against crime.

“During the meeting each department within the Katlehong Police Station was given an opportunity to speak, offering ideas on how to better handle crime in the area.

“Local CPFs were also given the chance to discuss issues unique to their patrol areas,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, of the Ekurhuleni West cluster.

The meeting was chaired by Katlehong Police Station commander, Brig Phumla Mdlankomo.

“We know as police we cannot fight crime alone we need the help of our communities,” she said.
