Katlehong police nab 33 over Easter weekend
Katlehong Police have arrested 33 suspects for several transgressions during the Easter holiday weekend.

The Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit and Ekurhuleni Metro Police staged a stop and search operation from Friday April 14 until Monday April 17.
Katlehong police spokesman Capt Mega Ndobe said suspects were arrested for various offences during the operation.
“Roadblocks were conducted which resulted in motorists being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and several traffic fines were issued,” said Ndobe.
He said other suspects were arrested for assault with the intention to inflict bodily harm, malicious damage to property, child neglect, rape, dealing in dagga, drinking liquor in public, possession of unlicensed firearm, robbery and for being in possession of drugs (dagga and nyaope).
All suspects arrested are expected to appear in Palm Ridge court soon.
