A 41-year-old man was recently arrested by the Katlehong police after he allegedly assaulted his wife and two other people.
The alleged assault took place in Moleleki Extension Two.
“Police were called to the scene by one of the victims of the assault, who had allegedly been stabbed in the face by the accused.
“Officers found two more victims at the scene, one of which was the suspect’s wife.
“She had been beaten with a brick,” explained Capt Mega Ndobe, of the Ekurhuleni West cluster.
The man had locked himself in the house and officers had to force their way into the home to arrest him.
“He was arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault, which will be treated as a domestic violence case,” said Ndobe.
The three assault victims were taken to hospital where they were all treated for their injuries.
The accused will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
