It was a busy week for the Primrose police with the arrest of 35 suspects.
The arrests were made from May 8 to 14, according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were charged with various crimes, including, business break-in, possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, selling liquor without a licence, shoplifting, theft, malicious damage to property and contempt of court.
The Primrose police’s station commander Colonel Albertina Vesi thanked everyone who contributed to these successes and encouraged officers to keep up the hard work.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and some of the cases were postponed.
Some of the suspects paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
