Local school to hold annual fête
Daeraad Pre-Primary is inviting the community to attend its annual fun fête.
This year Daeraad Pre-Primary School will celebrate its 42 years of existence.
The school offers tuition in both Afrikaans and English for children aged from three months to six years old.
Recently the Grade Rs had the opportunity of visiting Pioneer House in Pretoria to learn about “My Country and Our Protectors.”
The children enjoyed a wonderful day and experienced wheat-grinding, butter-making, bread-baking and hide-curing.
They also viewed a restored 1846 pioneer house with all the contents.
The school is excited to be holding its annual fête on June 3 from 9am to 2pm at the school grounds situated in Venus Street, Fishers’ Hill.

Lots of delicious food, a tea garden, pancakes, children’s games, a ghost house, tombola and more will be available to delight young and old alike.
Fleamarket tables are also available for hire to display your crafts.
If anyone is interested in hiring a table they can call 083 564 6582 or email office@daeraad.co.za for more information.
You are also welcome to visit the school between 7.30am and 3pm.
Pensioners who have crocheted or knitted articles they would like to sell can contact the school to arrange this, as a special table free of charge will be offered to the elderly.
