Shops looted during Makause informal settlement protest: https://bit.ly/2s2oMlr

It was reported that, during a service delivery protest at the Makause informal settlement, last Monday, a number of shops within the Makause informal settlement were looted by protesters. “We are currently helping the shop owners to move their stock to safety,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

You said:

  • Debbie Dodd, “Is looting shops really productive? Sorry they should be arrested. There is no law and order in South Africa.”
  • Ninis Mopedi, “This is no longer about service delivery, they should all be arrested. If they want service delivery they should go to the municipality.”
