Katlehong police target criminals

Two 18-year-old men were arrested during the Katlehong police’s stop-and-search operation.

Twelve suspects were recently arrested during a Katlehong stop-and-search operation.

This was held by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit, with the help of the EMPD.

The accused were charged with a number of different crimes.

The arrests included those of two men, both 18 years old, who were charged with the possession of suspected stolen copper cable.

Officers found copper cable in their possession and the men were unable to explain where the cable had come from, when questioned by police.

Other suspects were arrested for malicious damage to property, theft, warrant of arrest and possession of dagga.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
