Two men were arrested by the Katlehong police in connection with the robbery and assault of a 16-year-old boy.

After months of investigation, officers from the Katlehong Police Station recently arrested two men in connection with the robbery and assault of a 16-year-old boy.

It is alleged that the two men, aged 20 and 21 respectively, robbed the minor in the Sali Section of Katlehong, on March 7.

During the robbery, in which the men made off with a cellphone and R30, the young victim was also assaulted.

“The matter was reported to the police and investigations started from the day of incident,” said corporate communication official for the Katlehong police, Capt Mega Ndobe.

After following several leads, the men were arrested and taken to the Katlehong Police Station.

The accused will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon, where they will face charges of robbery and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
