The Primrose police urge the community to take note of several vehicles that are believed to have been used in the commission of crimes in the area.
2. Celebrating 50 years in style
Guests at Dinwiddie Primary School’s recent Mother and Daughter Tea Party, held at the school, were dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate. “This was one of the events held in celebration of the school’s 50th birthday. This event was aimed at celebrating the girls and their mothers, which tied in well with Women’s Month,” said the department head of guidance, Jennifer Kingsley.
3. Reaction officer dies after Homestead petrol station attack
A security officer was shot during an armed robbery at a Homestead petrol station, recently. After filling his vehicle with fuel, the 24/7 Security Services reaction officer went into the shop to get his logbook signed. “As he was leaving he came face-to-face with three suspects entering the shop,” said Geoff Schapiro, the operations director for 24/7 Security Services.

5. Last day to apply for Grants-in-Aid
The metro reminded all interested and deserving enterprises in Ekurhuleni to apply for municipal grants (Grants-in-Aid) – a fund established for community projects. Application forms had to be submitted to the Grants-in-Aid-Administrative Support Office situated at the Germiston Civic Centre, at the corner of Cross and Roses streets, in the Germiston CBD.
