A Marlands homeowner was alerted to a break-in at his home last Thursday by his security company.
“When the complainant arrived at his Caledon Street home he discovered that the boundary fence had been pushed over and his garage had been broken into.
“Upon further inspection, he discovered that three mag rims, with tyres, had been taken,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose Police.
Later that same day, while security personnel was patrolling the Marlands area, they spotted three men carrying mags that matched the description of the items stolen from Caledon Street.
“When the accused saw the security officers approaching they dropped the alleged stolen items and ran in different directions,” said Maome.
