Graduates on their way to becoming good Christians
Christian Ambassadors Gospel Church (CAGC) on September 24 held a graduation ceremony for students who attended membership classes at the church premises in Vosloorus.
The ceremony coincided with Heritage Day.
Church members dressed up in various traditional attire according to their culture.
Pastor David Tabane told Kathorus MAIL the aim of the eight-week-long course was to teach the new members of the church the foundation and the work of God.
“The graduates are new members of the church. So it is good to provide them with a solid foundation, because there are so many trials and tests on the way to becoming a Christian. When those tests and trials come up, only people with a good and strong foundation will stand. These classes taught those who attended just how to stand firm against all odds,” said Pastor Tabane.
Pastor Tabane said the classes were conducted on Saturdays and ran for eight weeks.
He added: “Not all students who attended the membership classes graduated today. Those who did not graduate missed some of the classes because of other commitments. But those who attended all the classes and finished the course did graduate.”
He said those who did not attend all the classes still stood a chance of graduating but must complete the course first.
He wished the graduates the best of luck.
