WATCH: Jub Jub misses Germiston court appearance over alleged firearm incident
Television personality Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye did not appear at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 24, where he was expected to face charges linked to an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver.
Television personality Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub, was a no-show at the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Maarohanye was scheduled to appear in connection with allegations that he pointed what appeared to be a firearm at an e-hailing driver during an incident in June.
His legal representative, Advocate Motsemme, told members of the media outside the court that the defence believes the State’s case against Maarohanye is weak.

Motsemme also said Maarohanye was unable to attend the proceedings after falling ill.
The matter has been postponed and is expected to return to the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on September 7.
Maarohanye has not been convicted of any offence relating to the allegations.
