Police nab 34 suspects in a week

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station 34 suspects were arrested in the area from October 2 to 8.

The accused were arrested for a number of different offences.

Charges included possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, rape, common robbery, dealing in liquor without a licence, dealing in dagga, malicious damage to property, warrant of arrest and contempt of court.

The Primrose SAPS’ acting station commander, Lt Col Mbhazima Maswanganyi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
