Man arrested three times, under three different names

A 32-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for allegedly shoplifting at a local mall in Primrose. With the help of their micro-connectivity device which they used during processing, the officers discovered that the man was wanted in connection with two other cases: one of theft and another pertaining to shoplifting. “To the officers’ surprise, the accused had a different name in each case,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Beware – Weather service warns of strong damaging winds

The South African weather service warned residents of strong, damaging winds that were expected to sweep across the country, bringing with them the chance of runaway veld fires. It was predicted that these winds would be most persistent in the afternoon. The warnings came after severe thunderstorms and heavy rain hit the country.

People queue for affidavits for RDP houses

If you noticed long queues outside the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and the Germiston Police Station, recently, there was no cause for concern according to Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS. “People need to get affidavits to apply for RDP houses and we had many community members come in to request them,” said Raphulu.
