Be aware of these holiday safety dangers

Certain Christmas traditions, decor and celebrations can lead to accidents and maybe even disaster.

Christmas is a joyous time of the year and is celebrated with family and friends.

There should be no reason to ruin this festive cheer, so exercise caution.

Certain Christmas traditions, decor and celebrations can lead to accidents and maybe even disaster.

Remember these safety tips during the festive season:

  • Tree blaze

Remember, your tree can be at risk of catching fire due to all the electrical wires of the lights.

Take care and do not leave the tree unattended for too long.

  • Sturdy stand

Make sure the tree’s stand is sturdy and that it can’t fall over.

A slight brush past the tree or small knock may cause the tree to fall over, especially when there are children around the house.

Ensure that the tree cannot fall over and injure anyone or cause any damage.

  • Be careful of too many lights

Multiple lights around the house can cause the electrical sockets to burn out and cause substantial damage.
