Do not bribe police officers

The police will arrest you for initiating bribes.

The Primrose police want to warn community members that there will be heavy penalties for people who try to bribe police officers.

This comes after a man was arrested for being in possession of dagga, in the Makause informal settlement, in Primrose, and he attempted to bribe police officers with R40.

He was charged with possession of dagga as well as bribery.

“We, as the police, are fighting crime and we are against bribes,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Anyone caught on the wrong side of the law will face the might of the law.”
