Laerskool Die President was abuzz as parents dropped their children off for the first day of another academic year on Wednesday.

For the school’s new Grade Ones the excitement of starting “big school” was clear as they took their place in the school’s hall for their first assembly.

Though the first day of school was both exciting and scary for the little ones, they settled down quickly and were eager to start learning.
