A woman and her friend were recently arrested by the Germiston police after they allegedly assaulted a man over a cellphone.
The complainant told officers, when opening a case at the Germiston Police Station, that he had been walking in the CBD when he saw his ex-girlfriend.
He asked the accused (his ex-girlfriend) to give his cellphone back to him.

“The pair began to argue and then the women allegedly assaulted the man.
“During the altercation one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim,” explained Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston police.
The women were arrested and held in police custody until their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
