Be alert and aware at all times, encourage police

The staff and management of the Primrose Police Station appeal to the community to put their safety first.

Crime in Primrose continues to be of concern to the Primrose police, and the staff and management are appealing to the community to be alert and aware of their surroundings at all times.

With this in mind, the station recently released the following safety tips:

  • Be aware of suspicious vehicles and people when arriving at or leaving your driveway.
  • Know your neighbours and share news of any suspicious activities in your area.
  • Avoid parking your vehicles on the pavements, especially overnight in poorly lit areas.
  • Always lock your vehicle’s doors and ensure that all windows are closed properly when exiting the vehicle.
  • Know your domestic worker and/or gardener very well and ensure you have copies of all their official documentation.
  • Remove all mail from your postbox, as a pile of mail may draw the attention of would-be criminals.
