Katlehong SAPS to put people first

The Katlehong SAPS held a strategic planning workshop on Thursday, March 8 to help the police improve service delivery to the community of Katlehong.

This is an annual workshop that is conducted at the station at the beginning and end of each financial year.

The workshop, conducted by Capt Mzwandile Nyamende, dealt with every aspect of the service delivery charter.

Capt Mega Ndobe, communications officer at the Katlehong SAPS, said the aim of the workshop was to emphasise to members the importance of working in accordance with Batho Pele (people first) principles.

“Fruitful ideas were shared during the workshop,” Ndobe said. “And members who attended the course were encouraged to share the information gained with other members.

“After the workshop it was written in eyes of the members who attended that Katlehong police officers are ready to safeguard and protect the community and investigate crime with pride.”

Acting station commander Col Nomthandeki Mthembu added: “After the workshop every police officer will improve in their field of work. Everyone will work hard in the fight against crime.”
