One nabbed for dagga

A 33-year-old man was found in possession of dagga.

While on a routine patrol in Buhle Park last Wednesday morning, members of the Elsburg Station Operational Crime Combating Unit noticed a suspicious man walking in the street.

According to the police the man hid behind a pole on the street as soon as he saw the police car.

“The police approached and searched him, and he was found in possession of three packets of dagga weighing 8.6g,” said Const Daphney Phooko.

The 33-year-old suspect was detained in Elsburg police custody.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession of dagga.

The Elsburg SAPS are encouraging the community of Buhle Park to report any criminal activities in their area by calling the station on 011 827 2060 or 10111.
