Officers from the Germiston Police Station embarked on a patrol of a number of local taverns last Thursday.
At one of the taverns, police discovered and confiscated a number of dangerous weapons.

“The weapons were found at the entrance of the tavern.
“The security guard explained that they had been taken from patrons before they were allowed to enter,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.
The weapons were taken to the Germiston Police Station, where they were booked in as evidence.

Police will continue similar operations in the Germiston area.
