Local service organisation elects new chairperson
Edenvale Round Table looks forward to the year ahead.
Edenvale Round Table recently inducted a new chairperson for 2018.
Shaun Senekal (32) is proud to accept the responsibility of leading the club to new heights and to make a significant difference to the Edenvale and surrounding communities.
The club has a number of Germiston-based members.
When asked about his plans for the following year, Shaun said, “We hope to have the club engage more with businesses and individuals in the Edenvale community and hold more fund-raising initiatives to further the impact we have had in the community in previous years.

“Last year, through our Winter Knights project, we collected over R15 000 worth of non-perishable food items and over R5 000 worth of blankets and clothing items which were handed out to the homeless on the streets.
“Our aim for 2018 is to have the community involved to far exceed last year’s collection”.
He added that while club membership is for young men between the ages of 18 and 40, the focus has always been on families.
“This year we plan on hosting, facilitating and attending events in the Edenvale area, drawing families together and developing friendships.”
“The main focus is to draw new members in order to achieve our goals,” he said.
