Unit offers support and hope to crime victims in Germiston

Volunteers do their bit to assist and counsel members of the community.

The Germiston Special Victims Unit is ready and willing to assist victims.

The team is all volunteers and residents in the Germiston area who offer their time and skills on crime scenes for emotional support, as well as at the Braveheart Victim Support Centre.

All the unit’s volunteers have received in-depth training in all areas of debriefing and defusing situations.

The Braveheart Victim Support Centre is a separate environment within the Germiston Police Station where the atmosphere is more conducive to providing support to victims.
