Man nabbed for Star Street house break-in

Primrose police apprehend man for possession of stolen property and house break-in and theft.

While on patrol in Rietfontein Road, last Monday, officers from the Primrose police noticed a 19-year-old man carrying a number of items including a speaker.

“When he saw the police he became tense.

“He was stopped and the police asked him where he found the speaker but he couldn’t give a clear explanation,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

While officers were still speaking to the suspect, a man approached them claiming that the suspect had just robbed his Star Street home.

“The man told officers that he had seen the accused jumping the wall and when he checked in his house he realised that his speakers had been taken,” said Maome.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station, where he was charged with house break-in and theft and the possession of stolen property.

He will appear at Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
